Tips on naming a Second Child

If you are one of those couples who has settled for the idea of completing a family of four and have been looking for a name that shall suit your second child once it comes into the world, then here’s a list of ideas regarding the same-

    • You can fulfill your wishes of a name that you had decided for your first child but had been disappointed. Disappointment in the sense that you had selected the name for a girl child and you had landed up with a baby boy. You had to change your plans in the last moment. If you have a girl this time then you could use the previous choice. But keep two traditional baby names handy just in case the mistake is repeated.
    • You could match the name of the new baby with that of your first kid. If the first one is called Fiona then you could rhyme the new name with the same or use a new name that matches the meaning of the previous one. Bianca for example is a match if it’s a girl. A boy sibling to Fiona can be possibly Roderick.
    • You could match the name with your names. If you are Rose and your husband is Geratin and you named the first child Romulus. You can name the second with the first letter of your husband’s name to have two Rs and two Gs in the house.
    • You could also settle for an entirely different name with a different meaning or a different alphabet.
    • You could give shape to the wishes of an elder you had disappointed the last time as you were fond of a particular name. This is a good chance of making your senior happy and feeling nice in the bargain.

Good luck therein!
